USK & USM Shared Meaningful Experience on Leadership and Volunteerism

Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) welcomed a delegation from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). This meeting took place in the Auditorium of the Student Executive Board (BEM) at Universitas Syiah Kuala on May 15, 2024.
Dr. Muzailin Affan, M.Sc., the Chairman of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) of USK, delivered the welcoming speech, introducing USK to the USM students.
“We are very pleased to welcome the USM delegation today. Through this joint activity, we hope to foster other sustainable collaborations, and for students from USK and USM to learn from each other and exchange ideas,” stated Dr. Muzailin Affan.
Representing USM, Prof. Hairul Anuar, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Shaharum bin Shamsuddin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from USK, remarking that this visit under the Majlis Penghuni Desasiswa Aman Damai (MPDAD) program was the first time conducted.
“I hope this program will significantly boost students’ enthusiasm for gaining experience in volunteerism and developing a better personal character,” he concluded.
Following the opening remarks, the agenda continued with an introduction of Rumah Amal USK and concluded with a session of presentations, discussions on what they have learned and how certain programs helped them grow, and a Q&A between the students of USK and USM.
