USK Successfully Hosts Info Session on Studying in Japan with MEXT Scholarship
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, successfully organized an information session on studying in Japan with the MEXT Scholarship. The event took place on Tuesday, March 19, 2025, at the Adnan Ganto Room, Universitas Syiah Kuala Library.
The session invited Teresa Chiquita Goenawan, Study Abroad Advisor from the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, as the keynote speaker. During her presentation, Teresa provided a comprehensive overview of the MEXT Scholarship program, covering its requirements, selection process, and the various benefits offered to recipients. She also shared valuable insights and tips for prospective applicants on how to prepare effectively. Additionally, she provided useful online resources to help students access relevant information more easily.
Dr. Muzailin Affan, Chairman of OIA, in his opening remarks emphasized the significance of such programs in expanding academic opportunities and broadening students’ perspectives. He expressed hope that more USK students and alumni would take an interest in pursuing higher education in Japan through the MEXT Scholarship. He also reaffirmed OIA USK’s commitment to continuously organizing similar initiatives to provide students with the best educational opportunities and information available.
