USK Students Welcome Lecturer Dr. Ivan Salazar Chang

Around 250 Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) students attended the Guest Lecture that was delivered by Dr. Ivan Salazar Chang, the Head of International Relations at Sports Chair of University Polytechnic of Valencia (UPV), at FKIP Auditorium of USK, on 22 June 2022.

The students enjoyed the guest lecture enthusiastically. They were able to hear about philosophies and get a better understanding of the importance of sports education that was presented directly by the expert. Further, students were given a chance to have an attractive talk and open discussion about related issues.

“This guest lecture was interesting. I could gain some new insights and knowledge, especially about sports education, and I could meet the expert directly. I like the way he delivers the lecture, it was enjoyable and comfortable,” said a representative student of USK.

On that occasion, Dr. Ivan delivered a presentation about Flipped Learning & Leadership Coaching: An Innovative Style of Identifying & Developing Individual & Group Talent. He found it was remarkable because he had a chance to give a lecture to USK Students, which the university is known as one of the best universities in Indonesia.

“I am glad I can visit Universitas Syiah Kuala. Today we know that everything can be done through internet access, but the self-development in education, including the “game”, is very significant because it becomes the beginning to produce the appropriate students that can develop themselves”, Dr. Ivan explained.

In addition, the guest lecture was opened by Dr. Drs. Syamsulrizal, M.Kes, the Dean of Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Through his welcoming and opening speech, he said that this guest lecture is a part of the Erasmus+ SPIRIT implementation program, as well as the reciprocal visit of UPV. Earlier, USK delegations visited UPV in May 2022.
