USK Nursing Faculty Strengthens Global Ties with IMT-GT JBC and StudyGermany

In a landmark move to bolster career opportunities and academic collaboration, the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the IMT-GT (Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle) Joint Business Council (JBC) under the IMT-GT University Network (UNINET) and StudyGermany Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, on November 28, 2024. The signing ceremony took place at the JBC Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The partnership spans critical areas, including career pathways for graduates and alumni, specialized training and upskilling programs, workforce mobility, cultural exchange, and partnership development. This collaboration aims to create new opportunities for USK alumni and graduates, fostering global competitiveness and cross-border connectivity.

Dr. Teuku Tahlil, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing of USK, signed the agreement on behalf of the university. Representing Director of IMT-GT JBC, Datuk Ir. Ts. Dr. Muhammad Mahadi bin Mohamad signed the document, while StudyGermany was represented by its Director, Dr. Ahmad Azlan bin Azmi.

The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Muzailin Affan, Chairman of USK’s Office of International Affairs (OIA). Reflecting on the occasion, Dr. Muzailin expressed optimism for the future.

“By facilitating this agreement, we aim to open doors for USK alumni and graduates to explore opportunities for work and study in Germany. This is a significant step in preparing our graduates to excel in a globalized workforce,” he said.

The collaboration highlights USK’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and providing its alumni with access to global education and career pathways. As the partnership takes root, it is expected to enhance professional mobility and cultural exchange within the IMT-GT region and beyond.
