Summer Camp – Aceh Heritage

Syiah Kuala University would like to offer you a program of Aceh Summer Camp 2019 themed “Aceh Heritage: Thousand Hands Dance” that will be held on August 4 – 13 in Banda Aceh and around. 

This program is a good opportunity for youth generations to know, understand and be a part of the Acehnese culture. It is designed to introduce Indonesia, especially Aceh, and one of the Acehnese dances called the Thousand Hands Dance that is also known as one of UNESCO world heritages in 2011. The program combines discussions about the Acehnese culture, especially on the traditional dances and practices. Finally, participants of this program will visit several famous Acehnese heritages sites in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar and perform the Acehnese dance that is popular for its unique song lyrics and movements. 

In this year, these programs are open to undergraduate and graduate students from any field of study. The program fee is USD 300 (regular) which covers accommodation, local transportation, meal 3 times, out bond activities and airport pick up & drop off service. If we have an official agreement as a partner university, we can give you a discount thus the program fee is USD 250 (partner) that covers all mentioned stuffs above. However, the fee does not include personal expenses, round trip airfare, visa and travel insurance.
