OIA Visited UMSU to Organize Summer Course of Coffee
Ria Ervilita S.Pd., M.Sc., Project Planning & Collaboration staff of Office of International Affairs (OIA) of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), accompanied by Dini Andalia Dewi, S.Pd., Administration staff, visited the Office of International Affairs and Cooperation (OIC) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) on Friday, 3 June 2022.
The delegations were welcomed by the Director of OIC, Rafika Rahim, and staffs, at the international office of UMSU.
The visit aimed to follow up and discuss further Summer Course on Coffee Story program that will be held this year. The Summer Course was planned for 2020, but it was postponed due to the pandemic COVID19.
Ria Ervilita S.Pd., M.Sc. said, “I am glad that this program can be conducted soon, although it was postponed before, and I hope this program will be a successful program, especially in promoting coffee, ecopreneurship, culture, and tourism from Geopark of Toba Lake, as the excellences of this program”.
In addition, the visit provided an opportunity to introduce the International Community Service (International KKN) to UMSU as well as exchange ideas about the future cooperation between the two academic institutions. The partnership with UMSU university is seen by OIA of USK as the importance to further integrate into the UMSU community.
Earlier, the UMSU delegations visited OIA of USK and met Dr. Muzailin Affan, M.Sc., Chairman of OIA, to build cooperation on the Summer Course. Both universities have formed a decent partnership during the time.
Rafika Rahim, said that she hoped this meeting can strengthen the cooperation between UMSU and USK.
