MOU Signing with Prince of Songkla University

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 13 December 2019 between Syiah Kuala University and Prince of Songkla University of Thailand at Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia. The signing is set to become the first step in a long-lasting partnership, to promote academic activities for both universities.

The MoU will look forward to a more institutional collaborations to develop a track that will provide students and academic staff from both universities the opportunities of conducting academic activities, such as student exchange, joint academic research, and workshop, on certain scopes and time in each other’s institutions.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Rector of Syiah Kuala University, Prof. Dr. Samsul Rizal, who is leading the ceremony expressed his thanks to the Thailand delegates visiting Syiah Kuala University. Then the rector continued by introducing Aceh and Syiah Kuala University. He added, “Syiah Kuala University welcomes any institution that intends to create a collaboration, and recently Syiah Kuala University has signed an official document with Kobe University from Japan”.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, the President of PSU expressed “Under the agreement, I am looking forward to both universities so that universities can produce more collaboration and establish mutual relationship”.

Present on the MoU Ceremony, Prof. Marwan, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hizir, Vice-Rector for Planning and Public Relations, the Chairman of Office of International Affairs, Deans and Vice Deans of several Faculties, and Heads of Syiah Kuala University Research Center.
