KSIBA Hosts “Friendly Meet-Up” to Connect Students with Inspiring Alumni

The King Sejong Institute Banda Aceh (KSIBA) hosted a meaningful gathering titled “만남의 날 (Friendly Meet-Up)”, bringing together students and alumni in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, on 30 August 2025 at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Banda Aceh.
The two-hour event featured three main speakers: Ns. Asniar, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Kom., Ph.D, Ns. Farah Dineva R., S.Kep., MSN, and Shabira Zakiya Saifullah—all of whom are KSIBA alumni who have pursued or completed their studies in South Korea.

During their presentations, the speakers shared valuable insights about their academic journeys abroad, including their experiences adapting to a new culture, navigating academic life in Korea, and practical tips on securing scholarships. They also highlighted how learning Korean at KSIBA played a significant role in preparing them for further studies overseas.
The event received enthusiastic participation from KSIBA students, reflected in the engaging question-and-answer session. Participants raised a variety of questions, ranging from daily life as a student in Korea and effective language learning strategies to guidance on scholarship applications and study opportunities.
One of the participants expressed appreciation for the program, saying the session offered strong motivation.
“It was exciting to hear firsthand experiences from KSIBA alumni who studied in Korea. It definitely boosts my motivation to follow in their footsteps,” the student said.
The chairman of Office of International Affairs (OIA) of USK, also known as the Director of KSIBA, Dr. Muzailin Affan., expressed appreciation for the success of the event and emphasized its importance in strengthening connections between current students and alumni. He also hoped that “만남의 날” would continue to serve as a bridge of inspiration for future learners.
The gathering concluded with a group photo session and a light musical performance by KSIBA students, marking a memorable close to an afternoon filled with stories, laughter, and motivation.
