International Students Signed Scholarship Contract to Study at USK

International students of Universitas Syiah Kuala attended signing ceremony of scholarship contract to study at Universitas Syiah Kuala. The ceremony took place at Office of International Affairs (OIA), on 30 September 2022, and was witnessed by Talbani Farlian, S.E., M.A, the OIA Coordinator for International Collaboration, and staffs.
For the academic year 2022/2023, Universitas Syiah Kuala has accepted international students from three countries, 1 student from Australia for Master Degree, 1 student from Malaysia, and 15 students from Thailand for Bachelor Degree. Each of them is awarded partial scholarship to study at the university. The scholarship covers the tuition fee and dormitory accommodation. However, 6 students from Thailand study independently.
Before the ceremony started, Talbani Farlian, S.E., M.A, welcomed students warmly at OIA. He advised them to take this opportunity wisely by actively participate in any campus activities available during study and living in Aceh.
“We want you to fully participate in the campus activities, programs, coaching and other services that extend the self-development to newfound opportunities”, he said.
He also added they must manage their time wisely during living in Aceh so they can graduate on time.
In addition, for the students’ study background, for Bachelor degree, each of them studies International Management, Medical Education, Nursing, Primary Teacher Education, and English Education, for Bachelor degree, while for Master Degree is Education Administration Science.
The contract document that was signed by the students covers agreement points that must be obeyed during studying in Aceh.
