Digital Training as Commitment of UNSYIAH toward Society
UNSYIAH under the coordination of Office of International Affairs (OIA) in collaboration with UNDP (United Nations Development Program) and Government, KOMINFO PEMKOT Banda Aceh City, successfully hold training on using technology, smartphone for societies of Banda Aceh, including societies with disabilities, 3 December 2020, KOMINFO hall. The digital training aims to support Program Digital Inclusion in Banda Aceh as The Resilient City Initiative (RRU).
At the opening event, the chairman of OIA, Dr. Muzailin Affan delivered his speech stated that before this training, the team already conduct a survey toward 250 societies in 8 sub-districts and 47 villages located nearby the coast. Overall the result shows enough satisfying, although there were still some societies who still have limitations in operating gadgets.
Muzailin added through this training, he hoped that Acehnese communities can increase the awareness toward the use of technology and its role in daily life, also improve the capability to operate tools, like smartphones, to assist them in working and especially get quick information about the disaster.
Banda Aceh city now provides the internet and technology-based service that Acehnese people can access easily and efficiently to get certain information, thus this training program supports Aceh Government well, T.Taufik Mauliansyah, S.SiT, M.Si, Secretary of Kominfotik Banda Aceh, stated.
The training assists the participants how to access the internet and operate its features that available on the smartphone.
