The King Sejong Institute Banda Aceh (KSIBA) held its annual 동아리 발표식 (Club Presentation), this year themed “Gangnam Street”, transforming the MIPA Hall of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) into a vibrant showcase of creativity and Korean culture, on 27 September 2025.

The event brought together all KSIBA students from the 2025 even semester, along with invited guests, in a festive celebration of talent and collaboration. Participants presented the outcomes of their club activities through lively performances, creative displays, and interactive booths.

Four KSIBA clubs participated in the showcase:

  • Sumukhwa Club – highlighting traditional Korean ink painting
  • Speaking Club – featuring practical Korean communication activities
  • Film Club – presenting cinematic works and Korean media insights
  • K-Pop Club – energizing the audience with dance and music performances

Each club offered engaging interactions that drew enthusiastic responses from visitors, who enjoyed both educational and cultural experiences throughout the event.

Dr. Muzailin Affan, the Chairman of the Office of International Affairs of Universitas Syiah Kuala and Director of KSIBA, expressed appreciation for the students’ dedication.

“This event strengthens friendship and teamwork among students. It brings a fun and creative atmosphere to get to know Korean cultures. Through programs like this, KSIBA continues to promote language and cultural learning in an interactive and inspiring way,” he said.

The event concluded with enthusiastic applause, reflecting the growing interest in Korean culture among youth in Banda Aceh and reaffirming KSIBA’s role as a leading platform for cultural exchange and language learning in the region.
