International Seminar with UTM Malaysia Expert

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) successfully hosted an International Seminar themed International Mobility and Studying Abroad, on 25 November 2024, at the Hall room of Veterinary Faculty. The event served as a platform for students across all disciplines to gain valuable insights and explore opportunities for pursuing education overseas.
The keynote speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Arifin bin Abu Hassan, Director of UTM International at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), shared in-depth knowledge on securing opportunities to study abroad. His talk covered essential tips and strategies for obtaining scholarships, building partnerships with international universities, and accessing prestigious academic programs for faculty members.
The seminar was officially opened by Dr. Muzailin Affan, M.Sc., Chairman of OIA USK. In his opening remarks, Dr. Muzailin emphasized the importance of understanding how to successfully access international study programs, such as student exchanges and similar initiatives.
“This seminar provides a rare opportunity for both students and faculty to engage directly with the Director of UTM International. It is an exceptional moment for the university to foster connections and exchange knowledge with a leading global institution,” said Dr. Muzailin.
He further highlighted the role of OIA in facilitating pathways for students and faculty to engage in international academic programs, reinforcing USK’s commitment to expanding global opportunities.
