Universitas Syiah Kuala is the oldest and largest university in Aceh, Indonesia. Teaching, quality research, social compromise and the transfer of knowledge are the essence of the University’s activities.

With a student population of over 32,000-34,000 students across our 12 faculties, Universitas Syiah Kuala offers various program studies from undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs.

Although the university was affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami, the development of the university has been accelerated through strong collaboration and partnerships with international organizations and universities.
