USK Rector Met IISMA Awardees

Fortunately, six students of Universitas Syiah Kuala have been selected as awardee of Indonesian International Students Mobility Award (IISMA) 2022 program. The students will study at the selected university abroad in Asia or Europe for one semester.

On 12 August 2022, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, the rector of Universitas Syiah Kuala, together with Dr. Muzailin Affan, Chairman of Office of International Affairs, met the outstanding students at the rector room.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan congratulated them and felt proud for their achievement since the awardee selection process is very competitive. He also felt grateful because the number of IISMA awardee is increasing this year. Last year, Universitas Syiah Kuala has four awardees, while this year is six awardees.

Rector said that they must use this opportunity wisely to create other achievements abroad, as well as to create connections, promote or learn cultures and others.

“This is a great chance for you that you have opportunity to study abroad at your favorite university. You have an opportunity to know other cultures or seasons abroad. I hope by you studying abroad, it can inspire your friends and USK students to study abroad and accomplish a great achievement”, rector said.

Following are student names and that successfully being part of IISMA program this year; Narid Sulthan Maulana (FEB, Hanyang University), Rifdah Khalishah (FEB, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), T. Aisya Humaida (FEB, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), Miftah Mardhatilah Mukammil (Law Faculty, University of Pisa), Laras Nauna Izzati (FKP, University of Zagreb), and Muhammad Raihan Ramadhan Tatroman (FK, University of Warwick).
