Welcoming New International Student Class of 2021

New International students from three countries, Thailand, Tajikistan, and Palestine, attended virtual Welcoming New International Student and Orientation Day Academic Year 2021/2021, on 22 September 2021. These 13 students were selected through the university process for scholarship and non-scholarship categories.

Prof. Marwan, the Vice-Rector for Academics of Universitas Syiah Kuala in the welcoming said that “there are 13 new selected international students to study as Universitas Syiah Kuala, and they are from Palestine, Thailand, and Tajikistan. I do hope you all will learn Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian culture as well”.

Dr. Muzailin Affan, the Chairman of Office of International Affairs, also said, “we are pleased to have you all on board. I hope you will enjoy study at Universitas Syiah Kuala for the next two or four years, undergraduate and graduate study, and OIA is available to assist you. Also, we hope you can visit Aceh one day or next year”.

Dr. Muzailin added that these students will study at several faculty for each. 10 students will study at the Faculty of Medicine, 1 student will study at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, 1 student will study at Faculty of Social and Political Science, and 1 student will study at Magister program of English Education.

In addition, these students were guided and given important information for several matters such as Registration and Online KRS, by Angkasah, S.Ag., the officer of Registration Centre, Library information by Rudi Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc, the Chief of Library, UP3AI information by Fathurrahmi, S.Si., M.Si, the Chief of UP3AI, Immigration and Aceh Cultural information by OIA.
